Install, maintenance and tips

Install:
Please install C-Bear bottom bracket with anti-seize paste, not carbon paste. Do not dry install.
Greasing the spindle is recommended.

Maintenance:
Always keep a good layer of waterproof grease on top of bearing.
Periodically clean and regrease this top layer of grease, the norm is 3000-5000km* or a year, whichever is shorter. Do not disturb bearing seal unless necessary.
Sometimes too much chemical cleaning may wash off this top protective layer of grease much sooner than expected. Sweat on the trainer is unnoticeably caustic.
We suggest common sense approach, you know better than anybody else how you use your bike.

Please note pairing DUB or 30 spindle to 41/42 bb shell is not ideal, a bit more frequent inspection is advised: every 3 months, 1000-2000km*, whichever is shorter. Prompt inspection and maintenance (if necessary) upon first notice of bearing abnormality is advised.

Tips:
Keep 2 fingers on the bottom bracket dust cover, non-drive side, while pushing the spindle through, helps to keep the dust covers in place.

Triathlete pro Richard Murray demonstrate the 2 finger tips when installing C-Bear bottom bracket.

To help prevent possible marks, while using the C-Bear tool on threaded bottom bracket, protect the bottom bracket with the zipper bag that comes with the bottom bracket.
